Outstanding place with workers ready to help and a good selection of items from individual to bulk. When I need a hardware item I often wait until I can be in Rensselaer and then get it at Kem's

It's not a Big Box Store, so it doesn't have a huge selection. What it DOES have is a very helpful and knowledgeable staff - some thing I need far more than I need a half dozen different brands of toilet plungers!

I was able to walk in with a picture of an outlet I needed a cord for (it was for a dryer and I am not handy at all). They were able to take one look tell me exactly what I needed and even went and got it for me. I was in and out within 5min. I was very impressed and would go back again!

Very good stock for a small town hardware/lumber yard. Good help with cabinets if you want them custom made. Prices are not terrible. The big box stores might have better prices but I prefer better quality most of the time. Of course buying local is always a plus. I find the staff helpful and knowledgeable.

Very helpful. Didn't have what we were looking for and recommended another small store, even tho it was a competitor! That is good customer service!
